you walk funny.

im in texas again.
its good to be back, and to see my family, lauren came with mom and the girls to pick me up, and it was great to see all their sweet faces.

i cannot believe how blessed i am. i just got back from an amazing trip to see those stellar people the sczebels, and i came here to see my family, my church, my friends.
God has blessed me with the most faithful people surrounding me. Friends and family who are honest with me, and who will bring correction and encouragement. The kind that tell you that your outfit that day is hideous and it looks like i just got out of bed, but that can also bring evidences of grace to you.I've done nothing todeserve these blessings, and the incredible blessing of salvation.
God is so good. Even when things arent going exactly the way i want them to, He is so good. And im off so much better than i deserve.
It just blows my head. Im here, a sinner who deserves to burn in hell forever, and I'm saved from that. He saved me, and im going to spend eternity worshipping Him, and ill never leave.

I cant thank God enough.

And i just want to say thank you to my friends. You are great, and a huge blessing in my life.
I cant wait to see everyone here, and read books with lisps.
And Als, Josh, Joe, Kara, Tina, Seaniqua, Jess.love you. I miss you all a ton. Thanks for the memories.
Smile.

HOLLER.

miss wiggin

Last nite we watched Miss Potter.
great movie.

It feels sort of like a lighter version on Finding Neverland (ricky.)

I dont know if I'm just biased because she is Beatrix Potter, and i love beatrix potter.
I grew up reading her books, i had animated films of Jemima Puddleduck and Peter Rabbit and i watched them more times than was probably good for me.
So it brought back a lot of memories. Asking Mom for bread, and milk, and blueberries for dinner, so i could be like Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail.
It was great. I had dad read them to me so many times, over and over. I think my favorite was the one about the hedgehog. But i cant remember the storys name.
Go read some Beatrix Potter, because its great.

I'll probably get greif for this post.

4 days.

and i saw the oysters walking.

'When we love someone,we study them. We find their likes and dislikes.Whats his favorite movie? What is her favorite quote? This is what we do with God, we need to study Him, honour Him with things that He loves, and cease doing what displeases Him.
We wouldnt go up to someone we love and slap their face.
But when we think " i know im not supposed to do this. Its displeasing to God...but...what harm is it really going to do?" Its slapping His precious face.
We need to study Him constantly, always looking for ways to please Him, and fighting temptation.
Colossians 1: 10 "... so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God."

this is probably going to make no sense.
but.. anyways.

the other day it occured to me that we live in an extremely impatient, demanding culture.
i was trying to hook up the ipod the other day in the car. all i wanted to do was listen to some memory songs.
and the signal was staticy. my first reaction was to be like "gosh. i just want some music! let me have my signal now."
then i kinda realized...
how typical of our culture.
i want what i want.
ani want it NOW.
and dont you dare try to get in my way.
we want everything immediately. i want my food fast, i want my computer to start now, i want my coffee,i want you to talk to me now.
i want this. and i want that other thing too.

we seem to have no patience anymore. i was reading a book the other day full of old letters two people had written eachother.
letters. they had patience.
they took the time to write down their thoughts, and took their time to receive it.
even with gchat and e-mail. dont get me wrong. i love being able to talk to the people that mean a lot to me then. i wouldnt know what was going on in their lives as much. but still.
I want to take time to do things.
Why dont any of us write letters anymore? Why dont we enjoy waiting for things. But so much of life is waiting. Patience is definetly something i need to work on.
sigh.
i know this isnt really making sense. but, just enjoy waiting sometimes.
Listen to the static on the radio. and like it.
Write a letter to someone.and wait for the reply.

( the picture is of somewhere in London. mom and dad took it.)
