the doctor's perscription

i have an insane fear of these_
bees
wasps
yellow jackets ( not the clothing. yellow jackets are ducky?)
and anything with a stinger.

ask the people down here.
the word for fear of wasps is spheksophobia.

i don't like wasps when they're in your car. once i was sitting in a car with the windows open and i felt something on my neck. yep. a wasp. and it stung me on the chin as it left. i wasn't happy. and i had a swollen chin.

Haha! Yep, all I have to do is scream "WASP!" around you and I'm entertained for a full ten minutes! : )

*shakes head* Ali...

Yeah remember that time you had a wasp in your pool? You wouldn't get in until we got it out. Haha, that was funny

aw dearie!
i don't like stingers either. i would stay i'm deathly afraid, but they're quite anoying...

i DO hate mosquitos.

and yellow jackets (the artical of clothing)are so ducky!

Anonymous said...

correction.

i wouldN'T say i was deathly afraid.

Anonymous said...

what is ducky.
and no, i can't say I like stingers either...especially after I got stung. *shudders*

i was just saying fear of bees is a very irrational fear.

ducky is my word.

Anonymous said...

ducky is not.
it is zelda fitzgerald's word.
she used it often.
and im simply borrowing it.

p.s.
i love you.

Anonymous said...

HA! try getting stung by one, then the fear might not seem irrational. Haha, just kidding

Anonymous said...

i have often. probably close to 7 times. over the years.

i guess, for me.... a bee sting really causes little pain and it is such a big annoying thing to be afraid of because there are SO MANY bees.

and honey. just so you know...

zelda fitzgerald, is borrowing my word.

*shudders* ugh, i still don't like stings. painful at least it was for me

i think i have become immune to the sting of a bee/wasp/hornet/yellow jacket. and stinging nettle.

i don' like stingers either.
but i prefer wasps, bees, even cockroaches to scorpions. specifically the translucent kind in texas...uugh. they're the only thing i really can't stand.

Anonymous said...

I'd personally rather have scorpions than all sorts of other bugs....although I have to admit, chasing scorpions throughout your room with a pair of tongs as your only weapon can be rather exasperating.....they're quick little things....and it's rather alarming when you drop one and can't seem to find it. : )

Anonymous said...

i'd rather chase it around with tongs than try to find one in the sheets of a 5-yr-old's bed, with a flip-flop weapon. and 3 little girls dying of curiosity and trying to "help".

it's a miracle none of them got stung.

Haha! That's funny. Did you know that you can set scorpions on fire and they still won't die? Hairspray works pretty well though. (Makes you kind of wonder what exactly is in the hairspray) Just don't stick them in the microwave. *shudders*
Hmm....kind of interesting how we've progressed past wasps/bees/and the like to scorpions. Quite fun!

what an odd thing this has turned out to be...
we should all just get on IM or something!!
haha.

gchat is much better. much, much better.

vancouver is a perfect place for me to live. i do not like scorpions, and we don't have any.
i don't mind bees, and we have lots of them.

go figure. ?

Anonymous said...

oh. okay.
gchat then. i don't have either,
so it doesn't really matter...

sigh

I really prefere scorpians over bees, wasps, cochroaches, because at least you can flush them away...Wasps, bees, not so much; because they fly out.
Cochroaches, *shudders* disgusting little things. Not too hard to kill though, blow them on their backs and they die.
However it is a little annoying when you have to chase one single scorpion around and under the bed with tongs. My sister and i had to do that: each of us having a pair of tongs, using the picner movement to get the little bugger. Though he did put up a valiant fight.

Plus you kind of get use to scorpions when you see them everywhere. I'm not half as scared of them as I use to be, though I still hope not to encounter one's sting...ugh

in lieu of what's been said... i can only shake my head. hey... i'm a poet..... and i didn't even know it...

umm...

i'm suprised at how much y'all like talking about bugs.

Anonymous said...

Bugs are an interesting topic to talk about.....especially when you've got people from all over the place.....

overthinker said...

yeah. i actually don't mind bugs. except for scorpions (obviously).

i don't think ya'll have to deal with 'love bugs' though...they're mostly in the southeast. the acid from thier little smushed selves' strips the paint off your car. so you have to wash it every other day.

how's that for starting regional bug conversation...

Anonymous said...

Regional bug conversation? That's hilarious!Poor Kara, this has turned into so much more than you thought it would. : ) We have something called a love bug here, but I don't it has any type of acid in it....it's probably not even supposed to be called a love bug, but everyone tries to give the stuff here pretty names because it's not such a pretty town. : )

Anonymous said...

this is quite interesting.

indeed.

Aly Sczebel said...

i think i hear complaining dams?

Anonymous said...

i didn't think it was complaining. but you're right. i should've phrased it better.

i really did want to know if ya'll had them or not. somebody said they were 'mutations from the south' and i didn't believe him.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, the "lovebugs" we have are actually kind of cute. I sometimes think that they're ladybugs because they look so similar.
I would have to say i don't like stinkbugs, they kind of fly out of nowhere and buzz in your face.

Anonymous said...

I think we have far too much time on our hands to be talking this much about bugs. Especially when Ashley and I live in the same house! : )

Anonymous said...

haha!

Anonymous said...

ENOUGH!

Anonymous said...

*giggles* Sorry, kara : )

Anonymous said...

We're just having so much fun. Haha!

just gotta' get one last word in!!!

:rolls eyes:
